Initial favourite and topscorer Jermain Defoe was second with 34 per cent of the vote, while January signing Jan Kirchhoff was third with 11 per cent.
Midfielder Yann M’Vila scooped four per cent of votes, while Lamine Kone won just one per cent of the vote.
