The January transfer market dominated our question and answer session with Sunderland reporter Chris Young.
Player recruitment plans, new signings and potential departures were all questions thrown at Chris.
Matthew Ford asked if there will be any surprise departures this month?
CY: I think we all know the ones that the club will look to move on - Buckley, Roberge, Mavrias, Graham.
One of the goalkeepers could well depart too. Surprises? I'm not sure about.
But Sam does need to make room on the wage bill to bring in new recruits.
Gomez? Lens? Fletcher (with only 6 months left on deal)? Not sure any would be a massive shock.
Finley Reah asked if Big Sam would look to sign a new striker?
CY: Striker is definitely the second priority after a new centre-half.
SAFC want to move Danny Graham on and Steven Fletcher could go with six months left on his deal.
They've watched Haller on several occasions, but from what I'm told, it's unlikely they'll make a move this month.
He's still very raw and Utrecht want £7m or so for him.
JD asked if there was any chance Yann M'Vila's loan would be made permanent in the summer?
CY: There's certainly a chance in the summer and there is an option to buy in the loan deal.
Of course, M'Vila would have to agree to that himself and the PL heavyweights have been keeping an eye on him this season, most notably Arsene Wenger.
It's all slightly immaterial unless SAFC stay up though.
Brian LeBlanc asked what the chances are of selling Vito Mannone or Costel Pantilimon this month?
CY: Quite high that they'll sell one of Mannone or Pantilimon.
From what I understand, Big Sam wants to give Pickford a chance and challenge for the number one spot.
With Mannone getting his place back in the side and Pantilimon on a much bigger pay packet (with SAFC needing to cut their wage bill) the Romanian looks favourite among the two to head out at the moment.
Of course, if neither have gone by the end of the month and Sam thinks Pickford needs more time, then he could go back out on loan.
Aaron wanted to know what strikers have been linked? Austin, Haller to name a couple. Any more Chris?
CY: From what I'm told, SAFC were one of the scores of scouts watching Marseille's Michy Batshuayi, but he's just signed a new contract there and there are sides in the CL watching him.
Andy Carroll's been linked, but told by several people that he's not an option.
Will Sunderland look to sign a left-back this window?
CY: I understand that left-back is not one of the top priorities for January.
That won't change unless SAFC offload a few and make room on the wage bill.
How many changes will there be for the FA Cup game at Arsenal?
CY: I'm expecting a LOT, maybe a whole different XI. I can understand Allardyce's thinking.
That game at Swansea next Wednesday is absolutely huge and he needs his key figures available for that one.
I agree with Allardyce that the PL has had a hugely detrimental effect on the FA Cup by holding a round of games then.
