FORMER Sunderland striker Djibril Cisse has signed for QPR on a two-and-a-half year deal, moving to the London club from Lazio for an undisclosed fee, writes James Hunt.

The French striker, 30, had found himself out of favour at Stadio Olimpico after scoring only five times in twenty-five appearances following his move last summer.

It will be Cisse’s third stint in the Premier League, following spells at Liverpool and Sunderland.

He becomes QPR’s fourth signing of the January Transfer window, following the arrivals of Taye Taiwo, Nedum Onuoha and Samba Diakite, with yet more business expected from Mark Hughes’ side.
