With Sunderland in good form heading into the game, Parkinson has made just one change. In comes Jordan Willis into the back three, he replaces Conor McLaughlin, who has been deputising in the defence.
Sunderland are unbeaten so far this season, with the Black Cats targeting promotion.
So what team has he named? Scroll down and click through the pages as we predict the Sunderland line-up:
1. Lee Burge
The Sunderland stopper has only been forced into two saves across the Black Cats' last three league outings - but could face a sterner test against Portsmouth. Photo: Frank Reid
2. Jordan Willis
Phil Parkinson said in the build-up to the game that Willis was 'closer' to a return for this fixture - and he could slot back into the back three should he be deemed fit enough to feature. Photo: Frank Reid
3. Bailey Wright
A key part of Sunderland's fine defensive record, the Australian is one of the first names on the teamsheet and will once again be an important player as the Black Cats look to topple Pompey. Photo: Frank Reid
4. Luke O’Nien
Parkinson has a real decision to make on the left-hand side of the back three with Tom Flanagan returning to the fold. But O'Nien has been impressive in that position and has contributed to back-to-back clean sheets, so could well retain his place. Photo: Frank Reid
