Had little to do but pick the ball out of his net twice. Made a smart block early on but that was the only other shot on target Fleetwood had. 6
Looked like he could be a real attacking threat in the first half with Fleetwood struggling. Couldnt get forward in the second half but in truth was never beaten on his flank. 6

Looked in good shape early on but struggled in the second half as Fleetwood improved their pressing significantly. 5
Started the game really well, using the ball intelligently and winning all of his battles. Made some good interceptions in the second half but found few outlets to offer possession. 6
No doubting his quality in the final third but in defence this was a constant weakness for the home side to exploit. Often failed to track his runner and left too much space for the opposition. 4
Ran the show in the first half, the best player on the pitch by a distance and capped it with a goal. Less influential in the second with Sunderland unable to retain possession for any period of time. 7
Started well but missed an early chance to get his side ahead and was anonymous in the second half as the Black Cats struggled to impose themselves. 5
Decision making was poor and couldnt make the most of some promising openings. Covered plenty of ground with but with little end product to show for it. 5
Had little influence on the game as a whole but did show some excellent touches under pressure and switched the ball wide nicely early on. If it is the play-offs, will benefit from this extended run-out. 6
An intelligent display in the first half, drifting into dangerous areas and showing good composure on the ball. Couldnt get into the game at all after the break. 6
Missed two big chances in the first half, hitting the bar before heading weakly at Alex Cairns in the Fleetwood goal. Made some good runs but made little impression, particularly in the second half. 5
Service into the channels was poor but guilty of being caught on his heels too often. 5
Brought on to bring some much needed energy higher up the pitch but couldnt make much of an impression. 5
