ARGENTINE right-back Gino Peruzzi says he is still hopeful of agreeing a move to Sunderland.
The Black Cats’ bid to land Peruzzi looked to have hit the buffers earlier this week when Sunderland were unable to agree personal terms with the Velez Sarsfield defender.
But Peruzzi insists he still wants to move to the Stadium of Light, as negotiations continue with the 21-year-old.
“There was an agreement between both teams, but I had to analyse my contract,” said Peruzzi today.
“Together with my family we decided that it wasn’t what we expected and that’s why we said no
“It’s not that I don’t want to go to Sunderland - it’s a team in the Premier League, one of the most important leagues in Europe. I am willing to listen to a new proposal.”
