How the table looks ahead of tonight's match
Newcastle defender Oliver Walters on facing Sunderland
"I'd say playing against Sunderland at St. James' Park is probably our biggest game of the season. Other than if we managed to get to a final in other competitions, this is definitely the biggest game for us in the league.
"Since under-nine level, I've played against Sunderland and it's always a big game and a one you really want to win with them being your local rivals. It does means a lot more.
"A lot of the lads have been here for years and years. They've played Sunderland since a young age and we tend to have a good record against them so we'll be hoping to keep that going."

How Sunderland line up this evening
What to make of those sides
Newcastle make one change from the side which beat West Brom 1-0 in the Premier League Cup last time out as Jamie Sterry comes in for Lewis Cass.
Looks like the Magpies will line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation with Elias Sorensen leading the line.
Three trialists start for Sunderland tonight, including ex-Hull striker Tyler Hamilton, West Brom winger Stanley Asomugha and Reading midfielder Tyler Frost.
