MUCH-TRAVELLED coach Malcolm Musgrove, whose name has been linked with an appointment as assistant to Sunderland Manager Mr Bob Stokoe. He was a guest of the Sunderland club at Saturday’s game against Brighton, but refused to comment on the position afterwards. Sunderland are keeping quiet, too.

Lynemouth-born Mr Musgrove won Northumberland rugby honours before playing League football with West Ham and Orient. His coaching appointments have taken him to Chelsea, Charlton (under Mr Stokoe), Aston Villa and Leicester City before joining Manchester United, where he was relieved of his duties along with Manager Frank O’Farrell and coach Johnny Aston last month.
