Liverpool have reportedly joined the chase to sign Mali international Moussa Marega.
The striker has been linked with a move to the Premier League in January after bagging 10 goals in eight games for Vitoria Guimaraes, in the Portugese Primeira Liga.
Stoke City, Watford, Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur are all understood to be weighing up a move for Marega, while the Echo understands Sunderland have scouted the powerful frontman.
And title challengers Liverpool were this morning linked with the 25-year-old Mali international.
Marega is on loan at Vitoria from Portugese giants Porto, and is the leading scorer in the Primeira Liga.
Meanwhile, Sunderland have also been linked by Italian media with a move for Ghanaian Frank Acheampong.
The 23-year-old left-winger is under contract with Anderlecht until 2019.
