'Where is he?': Sunderland fans question Phil Parkinson's surprise omission against Wycombe Wanderers
Phil Parkinson has named his Sunderland side to face Wycombe Wanderers – and fans have been quick to react.
The Black Cats have named an unchanged side for the clash with the high-flying Chariboys, with Joel Lynch returning to the bench after injury.
And fans were mostly pleased with Parkinson’s selection – although some did question the decision to omit Ethan Robson, who returned from his loan spell with Grimsby Town on Tuesday.
Here’s what supporters had to say on social media:
@kevindefty1 said: “As expected, strong bench too.”
@RamseySAFC added: “Surprised Robson isn't on the bench. And personally would have started with Lynch. Today shows if we have turned a corner and promotion is really on. HAWAY LADS”
@livsafc commented: “announce win”
@jaydenhanlon7 tweeted: “Announce the 3-1 win already”
@LukeJH18 posted: “Surprised no Ethan Robson involved.”
@Leech27Tom added: “Hawaay the lads! Into these today!!”
@Andyoots said: “If it ain’t broke....”
@charlton_comedy asked: “Where’s robson ?”
The big talking point in Wycombe’s line-up is the omission of Newcastle Unied loanee Rolando Aarons, who starts on the bench in what could be his final game for the club.
