Jack Baldwin (Salford City)

In his absence, Salford were beaten 2-1 by out-of-form Walsall in League Two.

Ethan Robson (Grimsby Town)

There was a better result for Robson and his Grimsby Town side, though – who marked Ian Holloway’s first game in charge with a 1-0 win over Mansfield Town.

Mal Benning’s own goal proved the difference, in what could be the midfielder’s final game for the Mariners.

Phil Parkinson confirmed after Sunderland’s win over Lincoln City that the 23-year-old is set to return to the Academy of Light in the coming days.

Jordan Hunter (South Shields)

Hunter continued his run in Shields’ starting line-up, having become a regular in Graham Fenton and Lee Picton’s side after joining on loan.

And he helped his side to a well-deserved clean sheet as they beat Ashton United to keep their promotion hopes alive.

Jason Gilchrist netted a brace for the Mariners, while also seeing a strike ruled out for offside in the second half.

Jack Diamond (Harrogate Town)

Harrogate continued their strong form of late with a 1-0 win over Maidenhead United.

Diamond featured from the start as Simon Weaver’s side kept in touching distance of league leaders Barrow.
