The Uruguayan, who was recently elected to the senate in his homeland, has not commented on the club for several months – despite holding a 20 per cent shareholding in the Stadium of Light side.
But he has now taken to Twitter to congratulate Phil Parkinson’s side on their 3-0 win over Rochdale, which saw them move closer to League One’s top two.

Hide AdSartori tweeted: “We expect many hours of work in the Senate. Therefore, you can not miss a TV to see the goals of @SunderlandAFC. Yesterday we won 3 to 0. Congratulations #SAFC!”
Last year, it was suggested that Sartori was likely to be a more visible figure at the Stadium of Light from December onwards, but he hasn’t been seen on Wearside since the opening day of the season.
