OUT-OF-FAVOUR Sunderland striker Danny Graham netted an equaliser for the Black Cats’ Under-21s in a 1-1 draw at Boston United on Saturday.
The former Middlesbrough man missed all three of Sunderland’s friendlies last week due to a back injury.
But Graham, along with last summer’s signings Cabral, Modibo Diakite and David Moberg Karlsson, have all been left at home, rather than being included in the pre-season trip to Portugal, with none of the quartet thought to be in Poyet’s plans.
Sunderland fell behind after just three minutes away to Conference North outfit Boston, with striker Scott Garner rising to powerfully head home a left-wing cross by Rene Steer, with keeper Peter Burke helpless.
Graham levelled on 54 minutes when he made the most of defensive hesitancy to race unchallenged onto a through ball from the influential Agnew, before rounding the keeper and slotting home.
