The come-from-behind triumph at Bounday Park was Lee Johnson’s first win after taking the head coach job and, after seven winless games, supporters were pleased to see the side back to winning ways – even if it wasn’t a perfect performance.

Here's what fans were saying on social media:

@mackem49000 said: “We made hard work of it at times but we’ll done lads and Congratulations Mr Johnson on your 1st win...1st of many we all hope”

@DavidHindmarsh7 added: “100% needed that, good win and mainly comfortable. Diamond & Patterson start on Saturday for me”

@jacktalbot1 said: “winning from behind? coming out firing on all cylinders in the second half? wingers expressing themselves? i know it’s only oldham but that performance shows that although yes there’s still a lot of work to be done but we’re already making small steps - onwards and upwards!”

@Ian_Crow3 commented: “Despite poor start, deserved win. Diamond standout and maybe should start at weekend, Grigg put in shift, Patterson stakes good claim and LJ making impact, positive subs and clear attacking intent. Good signs, real statement if we win at Lincoln this weekend.”

@liam_treharne joke: “Get them hotels booked up”

@SessegnoSzn added: “Give us Pizza trophy now.”
