For some, it may have took a couple of days to get themselves around the decision, or even for a sector of Sunderland fans, they may have thought that it was justice for their team, who simply didn't perform consistently from August to March to deserve a spot in the play-offs.

The process of the clubs deciding the fate of the league simply dragged on for too long, maybe if the vote had happened earlier, the situation may have been different.

More clubs may have voted for the resumption of the season, or we may have been coming to the end of the season right now.

A point up for debate between some sets of supports is Sunderland's business in the summer transfer window.

With the departure of Jon McLaughlin to Rangers, there needs to be an addition in between the sticks to battle Lee Burge for the number one spot.
