Fleetwood announced the news on Sunday afternoon.

A statement on Twitter read: “#ftfc new head coach Simon Grayson has agreed a deal at Highbury until the end of the season

“We will make a further announcement on an addition to his back room staff in due course.

“#OnwardTogether”

Grayson replaces Joey Barton in the Fleetwood Town dugout after the former Manchester City midfielder left earlier this month.
