CELTIC are in talks to sign former Sunderland goalkeeper Craig Gordon, who quit football in 2012 with ongoing knee problems.

The 31-year-old, who was signed for £9million from Hearts by former Sunderland manager Roy Keane in 2007, claims that he is now fully recovered and is believed to have undergone a medical for the Scottish champions.

“‘I’ve had two or three offers already which have been quite interesting,” said Gordon, who is also said to have interested Rangers, Hearts and Motherwell.

“But it’s just about picking the right one and then I can move on from there.”
