ECHO Juror Matty Foster believes Sunderland can get off the mark for the season in tomorrow’s Premier League trip to West Bromwich Albion.
He writes in today’s Echo: The Hawthorns has seen Sunderland win only one in the last five visits.
That’s not the most flattering of records, it has to be said. Ignoring that though, and our underwhelming start to the season, I have a good feeling about tomorrow.
I’m surprised to hear that Cabral has three ahead of him in the pecking order for central midfield. If that’s the case, then Cattermole should be first in line.
Vaughan and Larsson have both been poor when they’ve played there, and Cattermole always puts in a determined performance. He still seems popular among fans, so long as he keeps his card count down.
It’s good to hear Giaccherini is back, as well as O’Shea. O’Shea has his moments, but his presence in the back line does make a difference.
Everyone seems to expect Sessegnon to come back to haunt us. I do see him getting on the scoresheet, although I’m confident we’ll have the last laugh.
If we perform like we did in the second half against Arsenal, I have no doubt we can win. We just need to remain calm and take our chances when we get them!
Prediction: WBA 1 Sunderland 2
