Echo Jury: Sunderland vs Kidderminster wasn’t a thriller ... but another cup run is on the cards

Have your say

FIRST, I’d like to say I was a little carried away with me pre-match score predication!, writes Peter Quinn.

Kidderminster did themselves very proud. Every single one of their players gave 100 per cent and frustrated Sunderland.

Ten changes was a risk, but I understand why Poyet did it and, let’s be very honest, Wednesday night is Sunderland’s cup final!

The two debutants did very well. Ustari pulled off a superb save after very poor back pass, and Vergini looked very impressive – he can pass the ball comfortably and looked very postive going forward.

With Mavrias taking his goal well, Poyet learned a lot about his fringe players.

Again, we had nothing up front and this will be the death of Sunderland if we can’t sort it out.
