Echo Jury: Stuart Hall wants to get back to winning ways after Tuesday’s poor result

Have your say

AFTER our worst performance of the season on Tuesday night, the Lads get chance to make amends tomorrow against another team fighting for their Premier League lives in QPR.

It feels like an eternity since Sessegnon pulled on a Sunderland shirt, but he returns after his three-game ban.

Given the absolute shocker Campbell had on Tuesday, surely his place is in doubt.

Not many of the lads came away from Ewood Park with any credit, only Mignolet perhaps who suddenly looks to be a top-class keeper.

QPR came from 2-0 down against Liverpool on Wednesday night to win 3-2 and will be no pushovers under Mark Hughes.

It gives us all a chance to warmly welcome Djibril Cisse back to the SoL and, of course, Joey Barton returns to the North East. I expect his reception to be less welcoming.

It’s a game we really should be winning in order to keep our league season on track.

We all know the FA Cup replay is a massive game, probably our biggest since the semi-final back in 2003, but the Lads looked without focus on Tuesday and it’s time to return to winning ways.

Prediction: Sunderland 2 QPR 0.
