THE Echo Jury are split over tomorrow’s Sunderland-Arsenal clash. Of the depleted panel, two jurors predict Sunderland wins, two think the Gunners will triumph and the other member forecasts a draw.

Peter Quinn comments: After the Palace defeat, in true Sunderland style, you could read on forums and hear people people talking about the need to sack Paolo, that our squad is rubbish, that we are going down etc.

We just need to calm down!

We have much more quality in our squad than we did last season. Borini is quality – he was bought for £10million 12 months ago but has been unlucky with injuries.

At Celtic, Ki had the highest pass completion in the league. He is the type of creative player we have waited for all these years.

Tomorrow is very, very tough, but Sunderland have always done well against Arsenal at the Stadium of Light.

Yes, Arsenal are playing well and they have a £42m player in Ozil, but we can improve and we can put up a fight.

If we can’t remain optimistic, it’s going be a very long season. Come on Sunderland, we still believe.

Prediction Sunderland 1 Arsenal 0
