Echo Jury: Richard Smith looks back at the Fulham defeat

Have your say

ANOTHER frustrating afternoon. The need for a change in players is becoming greater every game. The earlier season lift O’Neill had on the likes of Cattermole, Kilgallon and Campbell has disappeared and they just aren’t performing to the same standard.

The need for a centre-forward who will score goals is something that must be addressed as priority. O’Neill knows that and I’m sure he already has targets in mind.

The game itself was always going to be difficult and we went behind to a good free-kick from the excellent Dempsey.

The real disappointment was the second goal. Only 15 seconds had passed following Bardsley’s excellent strike after nice link-up play on the edge of the box, when from the kick-off we allowed Dembele to stroll through the middle of the park without any pressure.

Both sides then had excellent chances with Campbell missing from six yards when it seemed harder to miss than score.
