Echo Jury: Richard Smith looks at Sunderland’s chances against promoted Norwich

Have your say

IT’S back to the league for our second game in four days as we face a Norwich side who sit a place above us in the league.

After the disappointing result at Carrow Road earlier in the season we will be looking to pick up three points this time around.

We have a number of injury worries, with Cattermole plus Brown and Vaughan joining the ever-growing injury list. You can probably add Wickham to that list as well, as he looked nowhere near fit and was holding his knee for long periods of the first half against Boro on Sunday. The lad is still young and we should not rush him back and cause any more damage.

Wayne Bridge could start, with Richardson moving into midfield. Colback, Turner and Campbell could also feature.

Norwich are a good side and will play a similar way to us in utilising the wide men and O’Shea and Turner will need to be strong in dealing with Morrison and Holt.

I think the game will be tight, but with home advantage I think we will just edge it.

Prediction: Sunderland 2 Norwich 1.
