Echo Jury: Richard Smith looks ahead to the Manchester United game

Have your say

THEY don’t get much tougher than United away. Despite the 6-1 defeat to City a few weeks back, United have since gone on to record back-to-back wins and they’ll be looking to again show that it was just a blip.

I would really like to see us stick with two up front and try to attack United as they do have defensive frailties. Not only City, but Norwich and Basel, have both shown this at Old Trafford.

Westwood will start in goal and Bardsley will come in for O’Shea. If Bruce does decide to revert to one up front I’d like to see Gardner brought in and played in behind Bendtner, keeping Sessegnon wide on the left.

I don’t think this result will have a great bearing on how the season pans out but it would be nice to see us go and try and get something from the game unlike at Arsenal where we set our stall out to defend.

I’m not expecting us to get anything out of the game but if we can go in at half time all square, then you never know.

Prediction: Man Utd 2 Sunderland 0.
