SO, it’s time for Part II. I said that the first game was our most important game of the season ... well, now today is the biggest game.
Both sides are in good form and both picked up good wins at the weekend. The game will be tight with both games so far having ended in draws. We’ll have to put in a really good display if were to make it to Wembley.
That said, I have full faith in the team and hopefully O’Shea and Bardsley will be passed fit and be ready to start. The team selection will be an interesting one, especially with Cattermole back. I think a lot will depend on whether O’Shea, Bardsley and Larsson are fit. If all three are fit, then I think we’ll see Vaughan, Kyrgiakos and Bridge drop out with Colback dropping into left-back and Cattermole partnering Gardner; with Larsson and Bardsley down the right flank.
I think the Everton side will be virtually the same as that Moyes fielded in the first game. A trip to Wembley awaits the winner and I think at home we will just about have enough to pick up the victory.
Prediction: Sunderland 2 Everton 1.
