Echo Jury: Michael Glancy is confident Sunderland won’t be beaten at Goodison Park

Have your say

AFTER last week’s impressive victory over Liverpool, we now face a difficult away game at Everton, who have been on a good run at home.

They have several players who could cause us problems – Baines, Drenthe and Osman are all good players, and the key to stopping Everton will be stopping these three. Perhaps the biggest threat though, is a psychological one. Our record at Everton throughout the years is poor, and we will have to have a very good game to beat them.

Even though Cattermole was out on Saturday, our midfield still looked more than capable of keeping Liverpool’s quiet. Vaughan looked fantastic when he came on, and it would not surprise me if O’Neill brought him in to the team at the expense of Campbell.

Some may see this as a defensive move, but Everton should not be underestimated, and it would be great to have a player like Campbell coming on from the bench.

Prediction: Everton 1 Sunderland 1
