Echo Jury: Kieran Kirby looks ahead to the Stoke City clash

Have your say

A HIGH pressure game, a game which we dare not lose, very difficult awkward opponents in Stoke City.

After watching us sit off Chelsea last week and let them pass around us, we really need to get at Stoke from the 1st minute.

Stoke can soak up long balls into their box all day long.

We need to get the ball into Bendtners feet and play off him and around him.

I’d like to see us have Ji and Sessegnon in support of Bendtner.

We should forget about playing 4-4-2, 4-4-1-1 or even 4-5-1 as we simply don’t have a left winger.

Sess is a waste there, as tracking back and closing down isn’t really is game.

We need him in positions where he can hurt the opponents.

If we play a 4-3-3 we need the two fullbacks to be on their game as Stoke have two good wingers in Etherington and Pennant.

Set pieces are where Stoke are their strongest. We need to try and keep them away from the keeper and not let them bully him, as we saw what happened at The Brittania last season.

Lets get behind the lads and hopefully get a much needed win.

Prediction Sunderland 2 Stoke City 1
