Back to the proper stuff after an international break.
A very hard game awaits us with Chelsea visiting the SoL.
Since the Swansea game, we’ve lost a player and gained one.
The sale of Anton Ferdinand was a bit of a shock as he’d started the season very well. Nicklas Bendtner’s arrival is much needed, we’ve lacked a presence up front so far this season.
It will be interesting to see what formation Steve Bruce plays. Bendtner and Gyan up front? Bendtner up top with Gyan and Sess playing off him with a solid midfield three behind them?
O’Shea will be a big miss, the defence will be much changed from the Swansea game with Richardson and Bramble likely to come in.
We’ll have to perform as well as we did in the second half at Anfield if we are to get anything from this game.
Chelsea have a squad packed with quality. With Drogba out injured its likely Torres will start up front, hopefully he doesn’t regain his top form this week.
Cech returns in goal which is a shame as Hilario isn’t the greatest keeper.
Hopefully we attack and pressure them like we did at Stamford Bridge last season. Prediction an optimistic draw.
Prediction: Sunderland 1 Chelsea 1.
