Sunderland target Jeremain Lens is set to undergo a medical with the Black Cats, say reports.
Reports today say the 27-year-old Dynamo Kiev player has been given permission to travel to Wearside for talks and is close to becoming Sunderland’s third signing of the summer.
The Black Cats have been tracking Lens this summer as a possible solution to boost their options out wide, with the left wing position understood to be a major priority for head coach Dick Advocaat and sporting director Lee Congerton.
Lens played under Advocaat at former club PSV Eindhoven and fits Sunderland remit for the pacy winger needed to boost an attack which boasted the second worst goal return in the Premier League last season.
Advocaat has already added Sebastian Coates and Adam Matthews to his squad.
Lens came through the ranks at Alkmaar before moving to Eindhoven in 2010 and scored 34 goals in 96 Eredivisie appearances. He joined Kiev in 2013.
