27’ Dundee pressure

Dundee United have just started to apply a bit of pressure down their left flank, and won a corner which was headed away by Neil.

No clear-cut chances for either side yet.

Sunderland have played some nice stuff but their final ball hasn’t quite been there yet.

20’ Roberts shot blocked

Sunderland are starting to create a few more chances.

Roberts has looked lively but could perhaps have played Stewart through on goal there after cutting in from the right.

Instead his shot was blocked.

‘Shall we sing a song for you,’ chant the Sunderland fans.

They have travelled in their numbers again today.

13’ Sunderland seeing more of the ball

The visitors have just enjoyed a sustained spell of possession with Dundee United dropping back into their defensive shape.

Neil has looked lively in midfield and tried to play the ball forward when possible.

Sunderland almost cut through there as Roberts set up Stewart, but the latter’s low cross from inside the box was held by the goalkeeper.

8’ Stewart heads wide

Good play from Dan Neil who showed close control in the Dundee United box before chipping up a cross for Stewart.

The striker’s header lacked power and bounced wide.

6’ Patterson almost caught

That could have ended badly as Patterson received a backpass from Hume and miscontrolled the ball.

Thankfully the goalkeeper was able to get the ball out of his feet to clear before Tony Wattclosed him down.
