'Don’t sign him again. Twice was enough' - How Sunderland fans reacted to Danny Graham's deadline day exit
Danny Graham and Sunderland AFC have parted company for the second time.
Danny Graham has left Sunderland for the second time six months short of the expiration of his deal at the Stadium of Light.
The 35-year-old has made 17 appearances since returning to the club for a second spell in the summer, scoring one goal in the Papa John’s Trophy.
And Sunderland fans were quick to react to the news of Graham's departure on social media – here’s what YOU said on Twitter:
@FulwellAdam: “A legend leaves. Your goals will never be replaced. Farewell, Danny.”
@MattCrighton: “Well, I suppose at least he has cut his losses and gone instead of hanging around robbing a wage.”
@david1smallman: “Awful awful signing yet again. Far rather give Mitch Curry minutes off the bench.”
@RobTate87: “Fancy bringing him back in the first place still can’t believe it.”
@WeAreWearside: “Okay, now don’t sign him again. Twice was enough.”
@JoeMcNa36001719: “Respect for not milking it like Rodwell. Good luck Danny.”
@LiamWhite2: “Good luck Danny, cheers for... well.. for nothing.”
@nicholaswilso11: “What a window!”
@99Mattie: “This feels better than a deadline day signing, although it now looks like Grigg won’t be leaving on loan. I’d rather keep Grigg than Graham in fairness.”
@davidboyle1985: “In fairness, quite the feat being one of our worst ever signings, twice.”
