The England international is rumoured to be interesting Sunderland boss David Moyes ahead of the winter window, with the Black Cats keen to strengthen in order to aid their battle against the Premier League drop.

But Sunderland are not the only interested party.

ESPN are reporting that a host of Premier League clubs have been alerted to the 24-year-old Gunners defender's availability.

Championship side Aston Villa, who have also been linked with a move for Vito Mannone, are also keen on a deal for Jenkinson, who has started just one top flight game for Arsene Wenger's men this season.

The reports suggest that West Ham, Stoke, Watford, Burnley, Hull, Villa and Moyes' men have made enquiries to tie up a New Year loan deal.

Jenkinson's route to the Emirates first-team has been blocked by the form of Hector Bellerin.

But Wenger is keen to hang on to Jenkinson, who only penned a new deal to 2020 last year, and wants to loan him to help him regain his fitness after suffering a serious knee injury while on loan with West Ham.
