SUNDERLAND boss Steve Bruce hopes to keep Sunderland in the top ten going into April.
The Black Cats head to Arsenal tomorrow before hosting resurgent Liverpool a fortnight on Sunday – the club’s only games in March.
After those two games, the Sunderland boss could have considerably more resources available with injured players back to fitness.
Danny Welbeck has an outside chance of featuring against the Gunners tomorrow and is also expected to play for the reserves on Tuesday.
But Bruce also hopes to see captain Lee Cattermole, Michael Turner, Fraizer Campbell, Bolo Zenden and Nedum Onuoha back in action at the start of next month.
Bruce said: “I think we have been harshly done by with injuries. Any club will struggle with nine out, as we have.
“We have been without big players now for weeks and months and managed to stick in there.
“It is important when we get all of them back that we keep ourselves in a position to try to get into that top 10.”
