Sunderland forward Duncan Watmore is a major doubt for this weekend’s trip to Bournemouth due to illness.
England Under-21 international Watmore has featured from the bench in four of Sunderland’s last five games.
But it is understood that Watmore is highly unlikely to be in the squad for the trip to Dean Court after being laid low by illness, which has kept him off the training field.
Dick Advocaat could call upon new signing DeAndre Yedlin to take Watmore’s place on the bench after the on-loan Spurs full-back was ineligible against his parent club last weekend.
And there is also a chance that Adam Johnson could be recalled after the winger returned to full training earlier this week, following a shoulder injury.
