SUNDERLAND will look to inflict more derby misery on Newcastle United tonight when the Under-21 sides meet at the Stadium of Light (kick-off 7pm)

Kevin Ball’s side face only their second competitive game of 2014 after drawing 1-1 with Stoke City three weeks ago.

And after the first team secured a third successive win over the Magpies for the first time since 1923 on Saturday, the U21s have every incentive to register a first victory of the calendar year.

Tickets are priced at £3 for adults and £1 for concessions, with season card holders able to gain free admission.

Sunderland fans can pay at turnstiles 1-8 and 17-24, with Newcastle supporters in the South Stand (turnstiles 61 and 62).

Meanwhile, Sunderland have confirmed that youngsters Liam Marrs and Craig Lynch have both been released.

Right-back Marrs has been on loan at non-league Boston United, with the only first-team involvement of his Sunderland career coming as an unused substitute on the final day of last season at Spurs.

Forward Lynch, who made two appearances from the bench at the tail end of the 2010/11 campaign, spent a month on loan at Hartlepool United last season.
