AJ in England squad as Forster wins shock first call

Sunderland winger Adam Johnson today retained his place in the England squad – named in Roy Hodgson’s pool to take on San Marino next Friday and Poland on October 16.

The big news saw Stoke defender Ryan Shawcross, Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs and Celtic’s former Newcastle goalkeeper Fraser Forster included for the World Cup qualifying ties.
