RYHOPE CW will be without at least three players for tonight’s Durham Challenge Cup second round tie at home to Crook Town.
Lenny French (Birtley Town), Nathan Johnson (Jarrow Roofing) and John Harrison (Ashington) are ineligible for the Wearside League champions, having played in the previous round.
In addition, Martin Swales awaits news on the fitness of captain Phil Hall, Chris Trewick and Greg Swansbury.
Shaun Petch, Liam Gill and Ritchie Jordan are added to the squad.
“We have applied for promotion and the game will give us a chance to show how we match up against an STL Northern League Second Division side,” said secretary Doug Benison.
“This is our first game since December 3. It’s been a long break and we cannot wait to get back into action.”
In other ties tonight, Newton Aycliffe host Shildon in an all-Division One tie.
Norton have home advantage over Gateshead Reserves, while, in the only league fixture, Washington will aim to improve their lowly position in Division Two at the expense of Hebburn Town.
The Newtowners slipped to fourth bottom on Saturday while Hebburn maintained their challenge for promotion, with several games in hand on their rivals.
