Easington HMS Victory got back into winning ways when goals from Ryan Douglas, Jack Garside, Gary Spalding and Michael Stuart set up a 4-1 win against Trimdon Colliery Royal Albion, with Paul Wilkinson responding.

Dale Harker starred for Victory, Aaron Brown for Trimdon.

Two goals apiece from Michael Lee and Jonathan Maxwell, along with a strike from Simon Hall, saw Wingate Grange comfortably saw off bottom side Horden Cricket Club 5-1.

Sub Craig Griffiths struck for Horden, whose star man was David Allen. Steven Brown shone for Grange.

Shotton Comrades won 2-1 at Thornley Harrys Bar. Comrades led with a cracking Paul Cudlip effort, however a defensive error allowed Kyle Middleton to level.

Lee Smith fired the winner after the keeper dropped a cross.

Peterlee Oaklands reached the semi-finals of the Second Division League Cup when they got the better of Peterlee Hearts, winning a close match 3-2.

Jordan Stephenson, Karl Arkwright and Phil Robinson produced the crucial goals, with Dave Kember and Josh Anderson on target for Hearts, who had keeper and star man Paul Griffiths sent off.

Liam Owen stood out for Oaklands.

Peterlee Helford United showed their superiority when they reached the fourth round of the Tommy Burrell Memorial Cup after beating First Division outfit Easington Southside 4-2 .

Star man Stephen Bentley’s clinical hat-trick and an effort from Gary Shaw did the damage, with Matt Billyard and Darren Massam replying. Jamie Stott shone for Southside.
