Sunderland West End ended the TWR Bifolds Wearside League season on a high, with an emphatic 7-2 victory over third-placed Cleator Moor Celtic on Saturday.
The win, their 16th of the campaign, ensured that West End finished 10th in the league.
They raced into a 3-0 lead on home turf at Ford Quarry, with two goals from Matty Halliday and an Anthony Nelson strike.
Jay Weatherall pulled one back for Cleator Moor, but Nelson scored his second after 51 minutes, to make it 4-1.
Harvey Stainton reduced the deficit again, but, on 68 minutes, Nelson completed his hat-trick to steer the Wearsiders three ahead again.
Dave Keithley then made it 6-2 and assistant manager Barry Cook scored the seventh and final goal, in the 90th minute.
