Dawdon Welfare Park rounded off another great season last weekend by completing a treble.
They added the John & Pat McManus Memorial Cup to the Premier Division title and the Tommy Burrell Memorial Cup.
In the final, played at Seaham Red Star’s ground, opponents Peterlee Helford United offered very little against the impressive Dawdon outfit.
The 3-0 scoreline was not a true reflection of the 90 minutes as more goals could and should have been scored, but for wasteful finishing.
Lee Chapman, Marc Ruddick and Kyle Bell all netted for Dawdon, whose man of the match was Andrew Beer.
Ian Bickerstaff stood out for Helford.
Dawdon’s success makes it seven domestic trophies out of eight in the last two seasons.
The league’s annual general meeting takes place on June 13 and clubs with an interest in joining the league for next season should contact secretary Bob Anderson on 07718 732270.
