Crook Town have named Chris Lax as their new manager.
The Ebac Northern League Division Two club turned to Lax after Wilf Constantine’s recent resignation.
Lax.led Richmond Town to an impressive Wearside League campaign last season.
Crook secretary Jonathon Hughes said: “We are delighted with this appointment and believe that we have the right man in place to drive this great club forward.
“Christopher has proved his worth as a manger with the excellent work he did at his previous clu,b Richmond Town, and he believes now is the right time to take the next step.”
Meanwhile, fellow Second Division side Brandon United are seeking a new manager following Lee Jewett’s decision to step down with immediate effect, following the midweek Ernest Armstrong Memorial Cup defeat to West Allotment Celtic.
Club president George Rae said: “The club would like to thank Lee for all the hard work, dedication and commitment he has put in during his time with Brandon United and we wish him well for the future.
“In the short term, the current football staff will take the team until a new manager is appointed.”
