FORMER Newcastle United target Bafetimbi Gomis has confirmed he will not leave Swansea City today.
Gomis – who only joined the Swans last summer – had been linked with the likes of Crystal Palace and Arsenal.
However, the striker tweeted: “I have decided to stay with Swansea. I wanted to share this with you before the end of the transfer window. It’s the best choice for me.
“Even if I was sad before because I didn’t play a lot, now everything is different. I believe in this team and this project.
“I have spoken with the coach (Garry Monk) and I have his confidence and he has mine. I am lucky to play and live to Swansea.
“Everybody is very kind and helpful eith me. I’ll do all my best to help the team to catch this goal. To all Swans fans, I am a Jack!”
