NEWCASTLE United manager Alan Pardew has said he doesn’t expect any more ins or outs today.
Danny Simpson has been one that has been linked with a move away but Pardew says it is unlikely.
Speaking to the press earlier today, he said: “We had a couple of enquiries, but they were nos.”
He added: “We are pleased (with his new signings). We have real optimism for the second half of the season.”
Owner Mike Ashley also arrived at the club’s training ground, sparking rumours there may be business ahead. Pardew however was quick to dampen them.
“He came here because he wanted to see the new players and welcome them to the club.”
This follows comments earlier from Derek Llambias who told Sky Sports News: “We’re absolutely done. Mike’s come today to reassure us crown jewels are staying.”
Newcastle have had a busy transfer window so far with no less than six new faces coming in while striker Demba Ba left for Chelsea.
