The Hull City frontman has 15 goals this season, only out-scored by former Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.

His goalscoring exploits, not just this season but last, have attracted the interest of a whole host of clubs, with Tottenham Hotspur the latest club to put their name in the hat for the 22-year-old.

United have been linked with Bowen since the summer – and Steve Bruce is a massive fan of the forward, who he signed for the Tigers from Hereford United.

But the Magpies were priced out of a move for the player in the summer window, with Hull wanting recoup north of £20million for the 22-year-old.

And it looks to be the same again next month, according to the Northern Echo, with Hull still looking for big money for Bowen, despite having just months left on his KCOM Stadium deal.
