STEVE Bruce has insisted he isn’t interested in succeeding Alan Pardew as Newcastle United manager.
The Hull City boss has been heavily tipped to take over from Pardew once he completes his move to Crystal Palace.
The Corbridge-born former Sunderland chief, who grew up as a Newcastle fan, was favourite with the bookies yesterday.
But with Hull still struggling against relegation, Bruce says he is committed to the job with the Tigers.
Asked if he was ruling himself out of the rnning, he said: “Yeah. I’ve got a job to do here. It would be very difficult to uproot.
“I’m fully focused on one thing and one thing only, to stay here and get us out of trouble.”
