DAN Gosling admits he doesn’t know what the future holds for him after the breakdown of his move to Crystal Palace.
The Newcastle midfielder underwent a medical at Selhurst Park last month, but the move broke down at the 11th hour – and Gosling returned to St James’s Park.
The 23-year-old has since played two games for the Magpies, and he is expected to be involved when Newcastle take on Rangers at Ibrox tomorrow night.
Asked about the proposed move to Palace, Gosling said: “It was nearly there.
“But it didn’t materialise, so I came back here and got my head down, worked hard and have played two games.
“I’ll just play as many games as I can and we’ll see what happens.”
Gosling impressed playing in behind Papiss Cisse at St Mirren last midweek.
And the ex-Everton man also featured at Gateshead on Friday. “It was a late call (to play against Gateshead), but I was always going to play if I got asked,” he said. “Everybody needs minutes.
“Maybe there’ll be one or two more to add on still.”
