NEWCASTLE are set to compete in a pre-season tournament in the United States.
The Magpies have reportedly agreed to play in a six-team competition in Texas in July, though the club is yet to confirm its participation.
Lyon, Pachuca, Swansea City, Malaga and Raja Casablanca are also said to have signed up to the tournament, which runs between July 11 and 19, with matches to be played at the Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas and the Toyota Stadium in Frisco.
Newcastle played Sporting Kansas City, Orlando City and Columbus Crew on their last trip stateside in July 2011. The gruelling tour, which saw the team take 10 flights in 10 days, was beset by problems.
The Tynesiders, however, went on to finish fifth in the Premier League that season.
