NEWCASTLE United midfielder Jack Colback is in line to make his England debut after being named in the squad to face Norway and Switzerland next week.

Colback – who joined the Magpies from arch rivals Sunderland on a free transfer over the summer – has impressed in his first two outings for United.

England manager Roy Hodgson watched him in the 0-0 draw against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Saturday, and was suitably impressed to hand the 24-year-old his first call-up.

Arsenal’s Calum Chambers, Aston Villa’s Fabian Delph and Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose are the other uncapped players in the squad.
