Newcastle’s Ben Arfa fit to face Arsenal

Have your say

HATEM Ben Arfa has given Newcastle United a lift – by declaring himself fit to face Arsenal.

The forward has recovered from the dead leg he suffered in the club’s defeat at Stoke City earlier this month.

There had been fears that Ben Arfa’s season was over.

But Ben Arfa – who had been allowed to return to his native France last week – will be in Newcastle’s squad for Monday night’s game at the Emirates Stadium.

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew will also welcome Moussa Sissoko back from a hamstring problem.

Forward Loic Remy and defender Mathieu Debuchy came off the bench to make their comebacks from injury in last weekend’s home defeat to Swansea City.
