Steve McClaren is “tempted” to ring the changes to his Newcastle United side against Watford.
McClaren was angry at his winless team’s reaction to going 2-0 down at West Ham United at Upton Park.
And the club’s head coach has indicated that Ayoze Perez, Siem de Jong and Rolando Aarons are all contenders to start tomorrow afternoon’s Premier League home game.
Asked if he was considering making changes, McClaren said: “I’m absolutely tempted.”
McClaren went on to praise the impact of Perez, de Jong and Aarons when they came off the bench.
Reflecting on the West Ham game, McClaren added: “The reaction to the second goal was the biggest disappointment.
“I was very, very disappointed with the result and especially the performance.”
